1. According to the production process, PVC sheets are divided into PVC skinned foam sheets, PVC free foam sheets and PVC arch extruded sheets.
2. Skinning foamed board (also known as Chevrolet board or Andy board) is a layer of hard skin on the surface of the board (single side/double side). It has high hardness and is not easy to produce scratches. The cutting surface is slightly sandy. It is suitable for making PVC characters, and the price is slightly higher. However, the surface hardness of PVC free foaming board (also known as veron board) is ordinary, showing a fine concave convex surface, which may cause scratches, and the price is slightly lower.
4. The comparison between PVC arch extruded board and ordinary foamed board is that the adhesive film of the latter is used at room temperature to stick it on the surface of the board, and the film will fall off in a short time (1-2 years); The former adopts vacuum film pressing machine, which fits at high temperature, so it is not easy to fall off.
Common Process and Application of PVC Sheet

1. Carving
Sculpture is the most commonly used and widely used processing method for PVC sheets. PVC engraving generally uses mechanical engraving, and less laser engraving.
Take the production of PVC characters as an example: after carving the PVC characters, use a blower (or air compressor) to blow away the fine particles on the surface of the characters, and then polish them.
If the carved PVC products need to be painted, the PVC characters need to be counted and placed in order, and then painted to ensure that the paint color of PVC products is uniform.

PVC board can be used for UV printing, but the adhesion of ink to the board needs to be considered when printing. If the adhesion of the ink to the surface of the board is not strong (it will fall off after scraping), special curing agent can be used together.

Although PVC sheets have many advantages, they also have disadvantages.
Although PVC board has certain strength, it is still too brittle compared with some commonly used wood, with low strength and weak bearing capacity. So if you want to use PVC sheets to make furniture, you can only do some simple and small things, such as various decorations. If it becomes bigger, it will easily break up. It is also easy to be damaged under stress.
In addition, the nail grasping ability of PVC sheet is not strong. The same nail can be firmly nailed to wood, but if it is nailed to PVC sheet, the nail is easy to loose.
Compared with acrylic related products, PVC products are also difficult to clean after being covered with dust.
